About Vintage Dolci

Hello!

Vintage Dolci was created from an obsession with desserts and a love of vintage. It started with one vintage recipe box from an estate sale and multiplied into a tutorial on websites, organizing recipes, and baking without full instructions.

I eventually threw in about 50 more vintage boxes with mid-century designs, or oak dovetailed construction with chipped edges, and recipes for fudge written on the back of scraps of paper gathered from work, or church, or from the weekly ladies’ game of Bridge. I discovered a collective mid-century love for Jello in all forms and baking with dates (the fruit). And, before that time, desserts like ice box cake and Johnny Cake written in fountain ink (!) on fragile paper cards.

So yeah, once I got started, I wasn’t going to give up that historical slice of domestic life. It tied right in with my other quirky hobbies and interests.

I like to overload myself so of course the original website was thrown out and completely remodeled. I like this one better.

so nice to have you here!
